SSP

The AZA’s Species Survival Program (SSP), is designed to help ensure the survival of selected wildlife species. The program began in 1981 as a cooperative animal management effort for select species. Each SSP manages the breeding of a species in order to maintain a genetically ssp202diverse and demographically stable population.
