Winners will be notified by February 2020.\nPhoto Contest Rules:\n1. The contest entry fee is $5.00 per photo due at time of submission.\n2. Photos must be taken at the Buffalo Zoo in 2019.\n3. The deadline for entry is noon on December 31\, 2019.\n4. All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges. Awards are based on the image’s artistic merit and depiction of the contest category. All awards are at the discretion of the judges\, and their decision is final.\n5. Participants may enter as many photos in each category as they wish.\n6. Individuals appearing in a photo give their consent to having their (or their minor children) photo taken\, and for the photo to be used for any zoo-related purpose.\n7. The Zoo is not responsible for any technical issues related to photo submission.\n8. Zoo employees or Board members are not eligible to enter. \nBy submitting photos\, all photo contest entries become the property of the Buffalo Zoo. DESCRIPTION:For the months of January and February\, portions of each paid admission and each parking fee will go to Zoos Victoria Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund. The Fund is dedicated to emergency veterinary assistance and scientific intervention for affected animals. Funds from the “Round-Up for Conservation” program in Zootique will also go toward our contribution. In Wild Burger\, diners can add a quarter to their meal total as part of “Quarters for Koalas.” \nIn a very generous and supportive move\, the Buffalo Zoo Board of Directors will match donations\, doubling the impact of our efforts. \n\nDonate Here

This safe and spooktacular day at the Zoo features trick-or-treat candy stations (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm)\, a one-day photo pass\, complimentary carousel rides (weather permitting)\, and Zoo admission. Purchase your tickets today for this frightfully fun\, safe\, and socially-distanced event designed for the whole family! \nTickets: $12.00 per person for non-members + cost of admission\, $10.00 per person for Buffalo Zoo Members (must show Membership card and ID at entry). SUMMARY:Help Name the Buffalo Zoo African Lion Cubs
DESCRIPTION:The Buffalo Zoo recently welcomed two new lion cubs – one boy and one girl. Now you can help give them a name! The animal care team has narrowed down the choices for both cubs\, and each name has a special meaning. The names receiving the highest number of votes will be bestowed upon our ferocious friends. Each vote is $1.00\, and you can cast as many votes as you’d like.\n\nBy voting for your favorite names for our new lion cubs\, you are not only supporting the Buffalo Zoo\, but the Association of Zoos & Aquariums Lion SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) Program. \nOver the last 25 years\, lion populations in Africa have been nearly cut in half. AZA organizations are partnering with organizations in Africa to mitigate conflict between farmers and lions\, increase monitoring of the lion population’s numbers and distribution\, and address habitat loss. By 2050\, the SAFE African lion team hopes to reach their goal of doubling the number of lions in the wild.
