Each vote is $1.00\, and you can cast as many votes as you’d like.\n\nBy voting for your favorite names for our new lion cubs\, you are not only supporting the Buffalo Zoo\, but the Association of Zoos & Aquariums Lion SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) Program. \nOver the last 25 years\, lion populations in Africa have been nearly cut in half. AZA organizations are partnering with organizations in Africa to mitigate conflict between farmers and lions\, increase monitoring of the lion population’s numbers and distribution\, and address habitat loss. By 2050\, the SAFE African lion team hopes to reach their goal of doubling the number of lions in the wild. DESCRIPTION:Description: \nCelebrate the second annual Run for Rhinos with the Buffalo Zoo from the comfort of your home\, on a local outdoor trail or road or in person on September 18. Our Virtual 5K race is a great and a fun way to train for other events or to just get some exercise. So\, whether you run on a treadmill\, jog around the neighborhood or walk around the block\, the Run for Rhinos is an ideal way to get in shape while supporting the Buffalo Zoo! Gather your family\, friends\, colleagues and neighbors to create a team – near and far can participate! New this year: an in-person race for the first 200 registrants that includes a race through Delaware Park and ends in the Buffalo Zoo. Your race registration includes a ticket to the Zoo on September 18. \nThis year\, we are raising funds for the Sumatran Rhino Rescue and the Buffalo Zoo Emergency Response Fund. Your participation will support the Buffalo Zoo during the ongoing pandemic. The Sumatran Rhino Rescue is a groundbreaking approach to conservation that brings together the Government of Indonesia\, leading international conservation organizations\, local experts and conservation practitioners\, and supporters from around the world to save the Sumatran Rhino from extinction. \nPlease note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic\, the race status will continually be evaluated. Any changes to race status will be communicated via this page and via email to registrants of the in-person race. Sign up for a Member account here.  \n  \nTickets Description:  \nEach ticket for Zoomagination: The Festival of Lanterns and Lights at the Buffalo Zoo presented by Five Star Bank includes admission to our self-guided walking tour of our larger-than-life lantern displays.  \nZoomagination is an immersive event designed to transport guests into a world of lanterns and lights. To ensure the best experience\, please note the following:  \n\nOur animals are not party animals and follow a daily routine. All indoor and outdoor exhibits are closed during the festival.  \nChildren 24 months and under are admitted free but require reserved tickets. Simply select “Children – 24 Months and Under” for each child who meets the age requirement. \nBuffalo Zoo Members receive a special member discount. Please bring your valid Buffalo Zoo membership card and identification to the event. A $5.00 per ticket fee is charged for Members who cannot provide a valid Buffalo Zoo membership card and identification. \nMember-level tickets are non-transferable. The Member’s name must be on all tickets purchased\, and the Member must be present with a valid Buffalo Zoo membership card and identification at entry.\nValid\, non-expired ride tickets may be redeemed at Zoomagination for member pricing. Guest passes are not valid at Zoomagination.  \nThis event is held rain or shine. Dates and times are subject to change or cancellation without notice.  \nLast admission is 9:45 pm. \nYour visit matters. Proceeds from Zoomagination support the care of our animals and our conservation efforts worldwide.  \nReservations are recommended but walk-ups are welcome.\nPre-paid\, non-refundable\, non-transferable tickets are required to attend Zoomagination. Should a ticket holder be unable to attend\, your purchase will be considered a donation. There will be no refunds. However\, if ticket holders wish to attend a different night of Zoomagination\, tickets are valid for any date of the event. Stop by an admission sales window prior to entry to have your ticket date adjusted.
