DESCRIPTION:Zoo admission\, membership visits\, and ticket sales are the financial backbone for the Zoo to provide care\, food\, and supplies for the animals and salaries for our zookeepers and other team members. This is one of the Buffalo Zoo’s most important times of year and the Buffalo Blizzard of 2022 has severely impacted our end-of-year revenue streams. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT UPDATE:\n\nZoo Lights 2022 has been cancelled for the remainder of the season. Unfortunately\, the Buffalo Blizzard caused too much damage to our light displays\, as well as grounds in general. We apologize for the inconvenience as we know this was an event many were looking forward to. We hope to be able to bring it back next year!  \n\n\nTo receive a refund for your tickets\, please email events@nullbuffalozoo.org with your first and last name\, the email you purchased the tickets with\, and the reference number listed on the tickets. Please reach out to us by January 10\, 2023 to receive your refund. If you do not request a refund\, your contribution will be considered a donation to the Zoo which we greatly appreciate as we begin our recovery efforts from this terrible storm. DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again; The Buffalo Zoo Photo Contest presented by the Women’s Board of the Buffalo Zoo is back!  \nEntires are now closed but now it’s time to cast your vote to select the best from 2022! The People’s Choice category returns along with a second category: Zoomagination! The Zoomagination category is restricted to pictures only taken of our fabulous summer lantern displays. First\, second\, and third place prizes of $100\, $75\, and $50 respectively will be determined by online voting that runs now until February 28\, 2023. Get all your friends and family in on the fun by having them vote on your photos with proceeds supporting your Buffalo Zoo! \nVOTE NOW\n\n  \nRULES:\nSubmit your photos from January 1–31\, 2023 \n\nThe contest entry fee is $5.00 per photo due at the time of submission.\nPhotos must be taken at the Buffalo Zoo in 2022.\nThe deadline for entry is 11:59 am\, January 31\, 2023.\nParticipants may enter as many photos in each category as they wish.\nIndividuals appearing in a photo give their consent to having their (or their minor children’s) photo taken\, and for the photo to be used at any Zoo-related purpose.\nThe Zoo is not responsible for any technical issues related to photo submission.\nZoo employees or Board members are not eligible to enter.\n\nBy submitting photos\, all photo contest entries become the property of the Buffalo Zoo.
