The Buffalo Zoo is open daily rain or shine! The Zoo is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Gates

July 1 - August 31 10:00am - 5:00pm
September 1 - June 30 10:00am - 4:00pm
*grounds remain open 1 hour after gates close.

On Fridays in July and August, the Zoo is open for admission until 7:30 p.m. and you may remain on grounds until 8:30 p.m.

Please understand that special circumstances including construction, births and veterinary procedures may require that specific animals be removed from public viewing to ensure the best possible care. Sorry, there are no refunds due to animal unavailability or weather

Early Closing 2013
Please note that the Buffalo Zoo will be closing early on the following dates:

May 31 for BuffaLoveFest, the Zoo’s inaugural celebration of everything Buffalo!
The Zoo’s gates will close at 3 p.m. and the grounds will close at 4 p.m.
