The common squirrel monkey can be found throughout most of Central and South America, predominantly near the Amazon River Basin.
The common squirrel monkey can primarily be found in the tropical low-land rainforest.
The common squirrel monkey contains a distinct white mask of fur around their eyes with black to brown coloration under their chin as well as around their mouth with an average height of 11 inches.
Common squirrel monkeys can survive up to 15 years in the wild and 20 years in human care.
