Natural Habitat

Usually found in drainages at or near the Atrato and Magdalena River basins, Magdalena river stingrays prefer residing low in riverbeds near the muddy bottom.

Physical Characteristics

  • Magdalena river stingrays are grayish brown in nature and contain dark spots along their backside.
