Description

Built in 1942, the Buffalo Zoo’s Reptile House has a rich history. The building first opened under the direction of Curator Marlin Perkins, who later gained notoriety for hosting Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom. In the present day, visitors can view 23 main exhibits of animals from all over the world consisting of turtles, snakes, lizards and an Komodo dragon. Visitors can also enjoy viewing a variety of amphibians, including frogs and eastern hellbenders (which are part of a headstart conservation project).

Quick Facts
