Program Description

The Buffalo Zoo offers unique monthly homeschool classes for students to experience the world of animals like a real naturalist! Classes will focus on a different topic each month and include hands-on activities, live animal encounters, and guided exhibit visits.

Program Details

Children Ages 5-7
Program Fee: $10 for members and $12 non members (Per Class)
Program times: 12:30-1:30 OR 2:00-3:00
PLEASE NOTE: Non-participating children and all adults who are not Zoo members must pay regular Zoo admission (Under age 2 are free, age 2 and up are $9.00, adults are $12.00)

Children Ages 8-11
Program Fee: $12 members $14 non members (Per Class)
Program time: 10:15 am-11:45 am

Class Dates & Topics:

Classes will be held on Fridays in the Zoo’s Education Department. Information and activities covered within each class are age-appropriate. Older students will explore each topic at a deeper level.

Ages 8-11 at 10:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m.

Ages 5-7 at 12:30-1:30 p.m. or 2:00-3:00 p.m.

November 4:  Food Web Discovery
December 2: Wild Winter Animals
January 13:  Rainforest Warm Up
February 10: Enriching Zoo Animals
March 10:  Animals Around the World
April 7 Nature Explorers
