Program Description
Week-long, full-day, summer camp is BACK at the Buffalo Zoo! Join us for a wild camp experience like no other. Campers will learn and discover through visits to animal habitats, up close animal encounters, crafts, art, nature play, hands-on activities, and more!
Program Details
What: Week-Long, Full Day Summer Camp
Who: Campers ages 6–8, and 9–12
Where: At the Zoo
When: July–August 2022
Time: Weekly sessions, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–3:30 pm
Cost: $297 Member price per one week session per person. $330 Non-Member price. Includes camp logo drawstring backpack and water bottle.
How: 2022 Camp Registration is Now Closed for All Weeks
Current school vaccination records required at least one week prior to camp start. Instructions for submission are included in the registration process.

JULY 11-15: CONSERVATION HEROES
Explore conservation around the world and right here in the Buffalo Zoo. Get your hands dirty solving real-life environmental challenges, from food waste to oil spills. See what the Buffalo Zoo is doing to help lead environmental efforts in Buffalo and beyond. Learn what it means to be a conservation scientist and become a champion for the living world around you.
JULY 18-22: ADAPTATION INVESTIGATION
Built in sunglasses, removable body parts and blue tongues! Explore the wonders of animal adaptations. Observe and learn how the diverse set of animals at the zoo are adapted to survive in their specific environments, get up close with our ambassador animals to learn their remarkable ways of surviving, and use art and engineering to design and model unique adaptations.
JULY 25-29: HABITAT EXPLORERS
Travel around the world exploring diverse habitats, from the Arctic tundra to Australian savannah and beyond, without ever leaving the Buffalo Zoo! Look up, down and through a microscope to observe the diverse places that animals and people call home, investigate the roles wildlife play within their ecosystems, and discover how cultures from around the world interact with the natural world.
AUGUST 1-5: CONSERVATION HEROES
