Program Description

Looking for a unique and fun Zoo science experience for your family or Homeschool group?  Each of our virtual workshops feature a wide variety of activities involving exclusive opportunities, hands-on activities, and live animal experiences.

All you need to participate is an internet connected computer with a webcam and microphone.

Arctic Edge: Saturday, January 16th 2:00-3:30

Join us on a trip to the arctic! We will take a closer look at arctic animals, experience their adaptations for ourselves, and get a closer look at some of our winter-loving animals.  


Remarkable Reptiles: Saturday, February 13th 2:00-3:30

Did you know that turtles can breathe through their butts?  Or that anacondas can go months without eating? Learn all this and more in this workshop all about our scaly friends. 


Buffalo Zoo: Then and Now: Saturday, March 13th 1:30-3:00

The Buffalo Zoo has gone through many changes in its 146 years. Explore how we went from being a park with 2 deer in 1875 to a conservation and education organization with over 800 animals today.
