This summer, you and your family can explore the Buffalo Zoo on Friday evenings! Have you ever wondered what the animals at the Buffalo Zoo do during the evening hours? From July 6 through August 31, the Buffalo Zoo will offer extended hours on Friday nights. Choose to spend a beautiful summer evening with us, and explore Zoo grounds until 8:30 p.m.! On select dates, visitors can also participate in themed programming that will feature a variety of the Zoo’s animal residents. Bowling for Rhinos
100% of the Proceeds Benefits Rhino Conservation!

You’re invited to attend Bowling for Rhinos on August 22, 2014 at the Transit Lanes. Admission is $30 per bowler and includes three bowling games, shoe rental, dinner, beverages and refreshments. Or you can skip the bowling and pay $20. The event will also feature a basket auction including artwork done by the Indian rhinos at the Buffalo Zoo, framed professional photos of the rhinos, a chance to win a meet-and-greet with the rhinos Tashi and George, and much more! Labor Day at the Zoo
Presented by Tops Friendly Markets, Fox 29 and Star 102.5

Say “goodbye” to summer and “hello” to a fun-filled Labor Day at the Zoo! The event will feature exciting activities, animal feedings and more! Admission is only $1, with coupons available at your local Tops closer to the event. For more information, please call (716) 837-3900.


Zooper Saturday (featuring the gorilla troop)
Come meet our western lowland gorillas, and learn what makes each one of them unique! Activities will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Gorilla House sponsored by Collision Masters and will include keeper talks and animal enrichment. Since recycling cell phones benefits gorillas in the Congo by decreasing the demand for coltan mining, each visitor who donates an old cell phone will receive $1 discount off regular Zoo admission per phone. Grandparents Day
Grandparents, be sure to bring your favorite little ones along to celebrate Grandparents Day at the Buffalo Zoo! From 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., each grandparent will receive free admission with a paid child’s admission. Grandparents will also receive $5 off any grandparent membership purchased that day. High Five for the Military
Members of the United States military and up to four additional guests will be admitted to the Zoo for a total of $5. A valid military ID must be presented at the admission gates to receive discount. The Buffalo Zoo thanks you for your service.

Recycle Your Old or Unwanted Electronics
Do you have old electronics to throw away? Electronic waste should never be thrown out with household trash. Some items may contain materials that are harmful to the environment, and most items can actually be recycled! Electronics recycling facilities are able to dispose of electronic waste in an environmentally responsible way.

The Zoo will also host an electronics recycling event on Saturday November 15. Anyone with unwanted electronics will be able to drop them off in the Zoo’s main parking lot during the event and receive $1 off Zoo admission on that day. For more information, CLICK HERE

Photo Contest
Take your best shot at the Buffalo Zoo and enter to win! This year’s photo contest has four categories: Mammal, Reptile/Amphibian/Fish, Bird/Insect, &Youth (16 years old or younger).  First second and third prizes will be awarded in each category.  For more information please call (716) 995-6131.
