The Buffalo Zoo offers a wide variety of events throughout the year. Choose from free events, which are included with your paid admission or fee-based events. Most of our events offer an educational component, a program-appropriate craft and animal demonstrations. May 17 Endangered Species Day
The Buffalo Zoo will host endangered species day activities.The event will take place on Friday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be stations set up around the Zoo featuring animal encounters, biofacts, crafts, games, and information about what you can do to help save and preserve the planet’s endangered animals. The five stations will be:
Mega animal station – gazebo lawn Primate station – gorilla vestibule Carnivore station – lawn near lions & tigers Herpetology station – reptile house Tropical animal station – M&T Bank Rainforest Falls
Endangered species day is celebrated every year on the third Friday in May. Parks, wildlife refuges, Zoos, aquariums, and other organizations around the country participate by holding events to educate citizens about endangered species and how they can help to protect wildlife. May 31 BuffaLoveFest (Inaugural)
Celebrate “everything Buffalo” at our inaugural BuffaLoveFest! From food trucks and beer to local bands and artisans, this event will showcase all that Buffalo and Buffalonians have to offer. So bring your friends to help the Zoo & to celebrate some of the best the area has to offer in an evening presented by Mutual of Omaha. If you want to help both the local community and the Buffalo Zoo, BuffaLoveFest is the event for you! The event runs from 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and tickets are $20 presale and $30 the day of the event. Each ticket includes two (2) drink tickets. June 1 Zooper Saturday (Featuring the elephants) Sponsored by Wegmans & WGRZ-TV
Join us as we celbrate our incredible Asian elephants, Jothi and Surapa, as well as elephants around the world! Event highlights include Elephant Painting with Surapa, keeper talks, raffles and enrichment activities. For more information, please call (716) 995-6133.
July 24 WINES IN THE WILD 2013 - You’re In For A Wild Night Don’t delay, this event sells out, tickets are on sale NOW!
On Wednesday, July 24th, the Pro Zoo Board and the Women’s Board will host the annual Wines in the Wild event at the Buffalo Zoo For only $45 pre-sale, $55 at the door, your ticket includes a variety of food and dessert items, wines and beers, along with some great specialty services vendors.
We also offer a VIP ticket which will allow you one hour early entry, goodie bag and champagne toast at a cost of $100. Only 100 VIP tickets will be sold. Live music and visits from some of your favorite animal ambassadors will highlight the evening. Enjoy a balmy summer evening in one of the most unique environments around as you try your luck at our fantastic basket & silent auctions. This event takes place from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.., rain or shine. Guests MUST BE at least 21 years or older The more the merrier, so bring your friends and neighbors to enjoy this wonderful, casual, evening to benefit the Zoo’s Adopt an Animal program. 2013 Buffalo Zoo Photo Contest
Take your best shot at the Buffalo Zoo this year and enter in our Photo Contest. You may win a place in the Women’s Board annual calendar. Best of Show wins the calendar cover!
