Photo Contest 2009
 The 2009 photo contest is underway! Categories include:Mammal, Bird/Plant/Insect, Reptile/Amphibian/Fish, Zoo Humor (caption is necessary), Student (18 years or younger)
Prizes for Each Category: 1st Place $50.00, 2nd Place $30.00, 3rd Place $20.00 Gift Certificate. Winners will be judged and notified by January 31, 2010. A reception to meet the judges, view all photo entries and announce the winners will be held in March 2010. The winning entries will be displayed at the Buffalo Zoo during 2010. Wines in the Wild 2009

 On Wednesday, July 29, 2009, the Pro Zoo Board and the Women's Board will host the annual Wines in the Wild event at the Buffalo Zoo. Sample a variety of food and dessert items, along with wines and beers from local distributors. Live music and visits from some of your favorite animal ambassadors will highlight the event. Enjoy a balmy summer evening in one of the most unique environments around as you try your luck at our fantastic basket and silent auctions. This event takes place from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., rain or shine. Guests MUST BE 21 years or older. Last year's event was sold out by mid-July, so be sure to order your tickets early. Gather your friends and neighbors to enjoy this wonderful, casual evening to benefit the Zoo's Adopt an Animal program. For further information please call (716) 995-6131
