What Zookeepers Do
Date: April 29, 2017
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Ages: Families
In this workshop we will see if you have what it takes to take care of zoo critters! We will find out about the variety of animal diets that are prepared daily at the Zoo, learn about how our keepers keep our animals happy and healthy, and even learn some great animal training techniques!

Animal Artists
Date: August 19, 2017
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The Buffalo Zoo is home to some amazing artists, who use their paws, trunks, or scaly skin to make beautiful works of art!   This workshop is a special opportunity to learn more about our animal artists.  You will discover how zookeepers use training techniques to develop an animal’s painting style, observe how zookeepers make paintings with animals from our Education Department, and be challenged to a zoo animal pawprint matching game. You will even get a mini “painting” to take home!

Conservation Heroes

The Buffalo Zoo helps with many conservation efforts, both locally, and all around the world.
