A Statement from Norah Fletchall, Buffalo Zoo President and CEO
The Buffalo Zoo will be closed tomorrow, Sunday, January 20, 2019 as we recover from the winter storm and power outage. Please know our backup power systems are running and teams are onsite.
None of this would be possible without the help and dedication of our exceptional Buffalo Zoo employees and our friends from National Grid, AdMar Construction Equipment and Supplies and CIR Electric who are working around the clock at the Zoo during the storm. Special thanks to Mayor Byron Brown and the City of Buffalo, and to Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz for personally reaching out to us and offering support and resources and monitoring our progress.
