Canine Champions for Conservation Dog Show presented by Five Star Bank returns for the summer

A whole lot of paw-someness is returning to the Buffalo Zoo this summer.

The Canine Champions for Conservation Dog Show presented by Five Star Bank returns to the Buffalo Zoo’s Center Stage beginning Friday, June 12, with shows taking place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. every day except Tuesdays throughout the summer. The shows are free to enjoy with standard Buffalo Zoo admission.

The show highlights the remarkable talents of rescue dogs, showcasing daring tricks and awe-inspiring displays led by trainers Samantha Valle and Brandon Chin of Stunt Dog Productions. Not only that, each show educates audiences on the important role dogs play in wildlife conservation.

Valle and Chin are both experienced dog trainers, with the former working with dogs for over 20 years and featuring on numerous national TV programs. Plenty of prep and a strong relationship with their dogs are needed to put on a show of this magnitude, and that eventually results in the awe-inspiring performances guests experience.

Most of the dogs involved in Valle and Chin’s show are rescues, and the pair regularly visit humane societies and animal shelters while they’re on the road. They’ll often come across dogs that are high energy and may not be best suited for a small home, so they adopt them, bring them along on their travels and train them.

With all new tricks, including some you won’t see anywhere else, this year’s Canine Champions for Conservation Dog Show presented by Five Star Bank is sure to leave you in awe.
