Program Description
Join us for homeschool at the zoo! With hands-on STEM activities and inside information make learning fun at the zoo!
Programs are 1.5 hours in length from 12:00 – 1:30 pm on select Tuesdays starting January 2026.
- Ages 5-9:
- Tuesday January 20th: Sherlock Bones – WAITLIST ONLY
- Tuesday February 10th: Ecosystem Engineers
- Tuesday March 10th: Endangered and Extinct Animals
- Ages 10-13:
- Tuesday January 27th: Sherlock Bones
- Tuesday February 17th: Ecosystem Engineers
- Tuesday February 24th: Ecosystem Engineers LAB
- Tuesday March 17th: Endangered and Extinct Animals
- Tuesday March 24th: Endangered and Extinct Animals LAB
Program Details

Who: Families with children ages 5 – 11

Cost: Members: $12 per person, per program (Must present card at program check-in)
Non-Members: $24.95 per person, per program (Includes Zoo admission at our lowest group rate)

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone attending the classes must be registered. All families must have a minimum of 1 adult registered.

April 9th – Animal Habitats
Investigate the different habitats of the world and create a habitat for your favorite animal.
May 14th – Animal Behavior
Observe animals and design a plan to study their behavior.
June 11th – Vanishing Animals
Help us solve the mystery of the vanishing animals and learn how you can help.
Note for in-person classes: All guests are required to have their temperature checked before they enter the Zoo. Any guest with a body temperature of 100.4 degrees or above will not be permitted to enter the Zoo. If you do not feel well, we ask that you do not visit. Please call 716-995-6127 to reschedule any classes you have reserved. During your visit, we require the use of face masks/coverings at all times for all guests ages 2 and up. In addition, all families will be asked to maintain social distancing throughout all programs. A portion of home school programs will take place outdoors, so please dress prepared for the weather.
