2025 Camp Schedule and Topics
JULY 7–11 & JULY 28-AUGUST 1: What’s on the Menu
Do you ever wonder what a giraffe would eat on their salad or would a lizard order crickets or a side of vegetables? Campers will learn the gigantic menu of the animal kingdom in the wild and in the zoo. You might be surprised by the interesting and yummy food some animals eat, even some food that can be found in your lunch box!
JULY 14–18 & AUGUST 4-8: Acting like Animals
Why do kangaroos hop? Why do turtles hide in their shell? Why do bats sleep during the day? These are just a few behaviors seen in the animal kingdom. Campers will learn about interesting animal behaviors and why they do them. Campers will problem solve on how these behaviors help them thrive and survive and then will witness some of these behaviors in zoo exhibits and up close with our ambassador animals.
JULY 22–26 & AUGUST 11-15: Conservation Captains
Let’s take charge and learn how to preserve the natural world and the animals that live in it! Campers will learn about recycling, conservation, sustainability, and habitat diversity. Campers will not only learn about the zoo’s conservation efforts but also how they themselves can help. Even small tasks campers and their families can do can make a difference. Let’s band together and make a change.
