2024 Camp Schedule and Topics
JULY 8–12 & JULY 29-AUGUST 2: COLORFUL CRITTERS
White bears, a brown cow, and a red and green lizard? Nature is full of colors and patterns, not just on the animals but also on the flora and fauna that the animals eat. Campers will learn about natures color palette and the colorful diet found throughout the animal kingdom.
JULY 15–19 & AUGUST 5-9: FACT OR FICTION
Campers will learn and dismiss the common myths about Zoo animals and animals found in their backyard. Do snakes unhinge their jaw? Do camels store water in their humps? The answers might surprise you and the truth is even more shocking!
JULY 22–26 & AUGUST 12-16: ANIMAL ODDITIES
Ever wonder how long an anteater’s tongue is or how long an otter can hold its breath? From super sniffers to hyper-hearing, campers will investigate animal adaptations and determine whether these animal capabilities are oddities or advantages.
