Teen Naturalist
Program Description
The Summer Teen Naturalist program is tailored for those who have a genuine interest in learning more about animals, want to engage in conservation education, and are excited to participate in unique opportunities and hands-on experiences. This is a two-week program that takes place 10:00 am-3:00 pm (for a total of 6 days).
–Teens ages 13-17
–$360 for nonmembers, $325 members

BUFFALO ZOO EDUCATION PROGRAM REFUND POLICY
If Buffalo Zoo cancels a program due to low registration or inclement weather, a full refund will be offered to all participants.
- Cancellation more than 14 days before program: Eligible for a full refund minus $50 processing fee.
- Refund requests: Must be submitted in writing via email to: jimprota@buffalozoo.org
- Processing time: Approved refunds will take approximately 5 business days to process.
Cancellation less than 14 days before program (or programs with a fee less than $50): Choose a credit or to transfer registration to a different program. Credits may only be used for Buffalo Zoo Education programs available through CampDocs. Credits expire at the end of the calendar year and may not be transferred between individuals.
TB Test
As in previous years, participants will have the opportunity to interact with several of our ambassador animals! As a standard procedure, all zoo staff members, volunteers, interns, and other individuals who come in close contact with the animals are required to undergo annual testing for tuberculosis (TB). Some animals can contract TB from humans. Written proof of negative TB test results is still required prior to the start of the program.
