Your guide to Summer 2026 at the Buffalo Zoo

Summer is slowly but surely descending upon Western New York.

As the warmth and sunshine make their long awaited return, the Buffalo Zoo is entering our busiest and most happening time of the year!

With plenty of special events, intriguing attractions and exciting animal arrivals, here’s your summer guide for everything happening at the Buffalo Zoo!

Destination Dinosaur

Don’t miss the chance to walk among prehistoric giants!

The Buffalo Zoo’s Destination Dinosaur exhibition features over a dozen life-size, moving dinosaur animatronics along with hands-on activities, photo opportunities and our daily Dino Show at Center Stage.

Be sure to also take advantage of our single day Destination Dinosaur Ultimate Ride Pass, offering unlimited free carousel and train rides along with a free single Dinosaur Evolution Virtual Reality experience for just $20!

Special Events

Wines in the Wild – June 18

Kick off summer the right way with a night of 21+ fun at the Zoo!

Enjoy beverage and food samples from over 40 of WNY’s best wineries, breweries and restaurants along with plenty of animal experiences.

ProZoo Board Charity Golf Tournament – June 26

Enjoy a day out on the golf course that benefits the Buffalo Zoo during the ProZoo Board’s Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Glen Oak Golf Club.

Art Gone Wild – July 16

Art Gone Wild is a family-friendly fundraiser that celebrates our love of animals through art!

The event will feature art demonstrations, hands-on activities, performing artists, art auctions and plenty more!

Animal News

Our baby black howler monkey is out on habitat daily until around noon with mom Rio and dad Tater in M&T Bank Rainforest Falls! Be sure to say hello to this adorable new addition to the Zoo and remarkable milestone in our conservation mission.

Our new male Canada lynx Cruz is getting along great with our resident female Rosie, and he loves interacting with visitors! Be sure to keep close eye out for Cruz during your next visit.
