ONSITE PROGRAMS

45-minute classroom program with biofacts (skulls, pelts, etc.) and animal ambassadors for school, scout, and other group field trips! $135 per session with a maximum of 30 participants. For large groups, up to 3 back-to-back sessions can be scheduled.

A Touch of Class

Do you know what makes mammals different from birds? Amphibians from reptiles? We can bring any three classes of animals – pick from mammals, birds, arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians – with animal ambassadors and assorted biofacts from each class.

Careers!

There are a lot of interesting animals and fun careers at a zoo! Students will encounter a variety of animals and learn how our dedicated staff give them the absolute best care! If you’re interested in any animal-related job, this program is for you!

Conservation Investigators

Are all animals important in an ecosystem? During this experience students explore the interconnectedness of the natural world by discussing food webs, endangered species, the risk of extinction, and the role of zoos in conservation.

Sense-ational Animals

Did you know that some animals can taste with their feet (butterflies) and smell with their tongues (snakes)? Students will first explore their five senses through sensory “experiments” and then compare their senses with those of a variety of animals.

Habitat Explorers

What traits can help animals survive in their habitat?   Exploring the characteristics of different habitats – pick from deserts, rainforests, tundra, and grasslands – students will discover the unique adaptations that animals have developed to survive and thrive.
